Biography

Colobos hail from North wales and the rest of world. They are an Alt Country / indie band some would say un catorgorisable. They have been together now for over 3 years with various line up changes.

Formed in 2005 by Gareth, Colobos was originally an outlet to get a catalogue of songs recorded and performed by Gareth. The first E.P "Turn the map around" was a collaboration of musicians featuring Dan Hale from "Soul Doubt" and Simon Dobbs from Canadian Klang rockers "This day all Gods Die"

Luis became a permanent member and soon Roger and Simon joined the fold and then started Gigging and recording. During this period Colobos released their debut album "INTERSTATE" to positive reviews in the UK and the American College and radio scene. The album gained airplay in various states such as Texas, Oregon, New York and Rhode Island.With a radio interview on k I R K 91.7 in Dallas Texas.

Colobos are influenced by the Americana alternative/Indie scene especially Gareth. The band Take influence from a diverse range of bands ,the like of Okkervil River, Daniel Johnston, God speed, Peter Bjorn and John, Modest Mouse.and pink floyd to name but a small few.

Fall 2006 and Simon left for Canada and so Colobos recruited Ben Kirkham on drums and Demo'd a prospective album track "The Dreamers" which later got released as a single . "The Dreamers" and "The Good Captain" has received numerous plays on the top Uk station Radio 1

At this very moment Colobos are in the studio Recording the follow up album to "Interstate" under the watchful eye of producer John Lawrence (Gorky’s Zygotic Mwnci Guitarist)
